Today I'm happy to tell you about a very talented artist named Tara Donovan. She works with household items to create beautiful, ethereal scenes. These first images were the first of hers I saw of her work:
{{{This is made of Styrofoam cups!!}}}
It doesn't stop there though! These are just a couple of her other pieces.
{{{A block of toothpicks held together by friction and gravity}}}
{{{A wall of stacked clear plastic straws}}}
{{{Buttons...oh the glorious buttons!}}}
{{{All images found here: Ace Gallery}}}
Wasn't that fun?!? ...Tomorrow I'll do a post about my senior show as promised. Sorry for the delay :)
Have a good afternoon!
xoxo

Wow. Tedious art is some of the best kind. I love the buttons. You know, that style would make a beautiful table base, with green glass on top? Oooh..
ReplyDeleteRachell, we were so made for each other! I was thinking the same thing with the buttons and the table base!! Great minds think alike right? Hehehe...
ReplyDeleteWOW. The styrofoam cups did it for me. So whimsical. And I love the buttons!! This talented lady must have way too much time on her hands!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janee, for sharing your amazing find with us. I am going to post a link to your post on my facebook.
Victoria, the styrofoam is what did it for me to! I actually studied her in one of my classes in college. She's so fantastic! I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the FB link :)
ReplyDeleteJanee, hurry up and make buttons! You need to advertise this wonderful blog.
