Lichen and Lament

Good Morning Friends,

Most of the time when I talk to people online they seem like mere figments of the internet. But some of you my dear readers are long time friends of mine; and some of you, although we've just met, I call my friends in real life as well. So I will be honest with you and tell you I am here today with deep sadness in my heart. For the last seven months or so The Beard and I have had big hopes and dreams and plans for what we thought was ahead. This weekend however, we received news that abruptly demolished those plans. It would seem that God has something else in mind for us, something we do not yet see. And although we are confident that God's plans are better than ours, there is still a time for sorrow.

These photos are from an adventure we went on this weekend. We had already heard the bad news, so it wasn't as fun as it would normally have been. But it was remarkably refreshing to be outside in the cold and the snow.

I hope you had a lovely weekend my friends. Also, I apologize to those of you whose blogs I am still behind on! I'm still trying to figure out how to manage all the blogs I read as well as come up with interesting topics for you to read :)

xoxo

  1. I'm sorry to hear your path has been changed, but wait for the silver lining. It's always there.

To help with the blogging, I have categorized my favorites with 'Blogs' and then 'Daily Reads'. I finish the Daily Reads and then if I find myself frequently having more time to get to the other blogs, I add them to my Daily Reads folder, and filter out ones I start skimping on.

    Maybe that will help?

  5. Oh my dear, I am so sorry to hear that you have received a harsh blow. Though in the moment your hopes may be dashed, time will shed the light needed to see that bigger and better things are on their way for you both. I wish you all the happiness you deserve!
