Featured Artist::: Tim Hawkinson

Good Morning Friends!

Before we talk about this fantastic artist I just want to make sure everyone has entered my birthday giveaway! For all of you newcomers, go have a peek :)

I've been waiting to post this one for a while. I really want to do this artist justice. Tim Hawkinson is one of me and The Beard's favorite artists of all time. He creates beautiful, crazy, intricate sculptures and installations. Mostly from everyday items you probably already have in your house! To read his full bio, which is totally worthwhile trust me, visit his page on Art21. You can see more images of his work at ACE Gallery also.

The Beard and I had the fortunate pleasure of actually getting to see some of Tim's works in person when they were at The Getty Museum in LA in 2009. Did any of you guys see his exhibition when it was there also?

Please please take the time to look at his other works. And if you aren't too squeamish look up what the egg, bird, and feather are made from :) Hehehehe....

 Happy Wednesday everyone!
