Lists::: Day 2 - Things I'm Good At

Good Morning List-makers!

As I began pondering my list for today's topic I realized that this is a bit of a toughy for me. I am simultaneously very confident and quite critical of myself. There are a few things however that I am certain I'm capable of.

1. Organization///Details.

For as long as I can remember I have loved and had a special knack for organizing just about anything. When I worked retail {Startbucks, White House Black Market, Fossil, J.Crew} my store managers would pay me overtime hours to come in on my day off to organize the stock room. When someone new comes into my living space I usually hear something like, "Wow, you must think I'm a slob...". If I ever have to have a "real" job again, I'd be pleased as punch to find a job as someone's personal assistant. For the last 7 or so years I've had to move 1, 2 even 3 times a year and let me tell you, no one can pack a car as neat and full as I can! While I was in college I got a job reorganizing and helping clean-up/paint the wood shop. The department chair told me he didn't think it had ever looked that organized. Which leads me to number 2.

2. I know my way around a woodshop.

My Dad is one of those Jack-Of-All-Trades type, if you need something built/fixed he is your guy. Growing up I went to "the shop" with my Dad quite often, and learned how to use a saw at a pretty young age. We built loads of fun things together, a china cabinet, a dresser, several box cars {yeah, we cheated and used wood} and many other smaller projects. In college {after I showed off my organization skills} I ran the woodshop for  years. Which of course gave me plenty of time to build while I was working. I built all of my own photo frames for my senior thesis show along with a number of my friends frames. It's been though being away from all those lovely, sharp babies since graduation... but someday The Beard and I hope to have a nice little saw collection of our own.

3. Swimming.

I didn't swim in high school or anything, I'm much too lazy for that. But I did take it as a class in college and my "professor"/coach said if I had trained when I was younger I could've made it pretty far... ::: Ho Hum ::: I love swimming anyways.

Ok well, that's enough for now. I've got to go finish getting ready for the craft fair which is only two days away now! Yikes! And I'd really like to work out a new method for tomorrow's list. I don't want them all to look the same after all.

OH! and look at these lovely colors from Lauren over at Color Collective:

Have a wonderful sunny day my friends!
