Interrogation::: Savannah {Maie Dae} + GIVEAWAY!!!

1. Tell us a little bit about you as a person

   Hello! My name is Savannah, I'm 23 years-old and a newlywed of one-year! I graduated from Berry College in Rome, GA May 2010 with a degree in Visual Communication. I currently work full-time for Chick-fil-A corporate as their in-house graphic designer as well as run MaieDae part-time on the side. I have a one year old kitty named Kaito (Kai-toe -- soaring ocean) and I married my high school sweetheart! This January we will have been together for 7 years! My little family and I live in Atlanta, GA...and when I'm not designing, running my blog and making handmades I usually can be found decorating our apartment, drooling over design books/magazines, watching tv shows and spending time with my family/friends. :) 

2. Tell us how/why you started MaieDae

   I've always had a desire to have my own business...ever since I was around the age of 11. My first business was called "Critter Sitters" were a neighborhood friend and I would watch the neighbors pets and home while they were out of town. :) ....I've always loved being creative and artistic and during college I realized my love for graphic design and designing in general. I got married on May 14, 2010 and after my wedding had a huge desire to DO something creative and inspirational, and that's when MaieDae was born. At first MaieDae was a "resource" blog, which later turned into a lifestyle blog, and then the additions of handmades and graphic design slowly added on later. I have A LOT of big dreams for MaieDae and I'm working hard to get those accomplished. :) 

3. What do you do when you're not blogging?

   When I'm not blogging, I'm organizing, making lists, designing products for my online shop, designing for my job at CFA or for my clients via MaieDae, watching my favorite shows, helping my husband run a household, playing with my kitty, spending time with our family, decorating our home....and I'll throw in some rest-time here and there ;) 

4. What networking do you to that you feel most helps your blogging business?

   I would say being consistent with my blogging has really helped the most as well as utilizing twitter and facebook.

5. Tell us about your craft and how you got started

   I had wanted to start an Etsy shop in college and actually did for a couple of brief days, but decided I wasn't quite ready and wanted to take my time figuring out what I wanted to do and my strategy. So I started my shop back up last summer and started off making hair accessories. After awhile I added on more and more jewelry and have found that I really like to experiment with different ideas to find what does the best.  {{{Maie Dae Shop}}}

 6. What has been your best experience through your etsy shop?

   Receiving photos from customers wearing my product and participating in craft fairs and meeting blog readers. :)

7. What is your favorite item in your shop and why?

   The Chicago Earring, I love this piece because it adds instant drama to any outfit! It's easy to wear and super fun for the summer. 

8. What is your favorite item in someone else's shop and why?

   I don't know if I could pick a favorite item but I really love these ladies shops:
