Today I have a very interesting artist for you. Tom Hussey is a photographer from Dallas and I really dig his style. The series I'm going to share with you today is called "Reflections". The images are quite beautiful, and kinda sad too. But don't stop after these, Tom has even more great work on his website!

For some reason the ones of the "college graduate" and the "nurse" really get to me. Overall they make me really thankful for the stage of life I'm in right now. Oh to be young, and to share your life with the one you love :) On another note, I think the lighting in all of them is really well done. It really sets the mood for each scene. Especially this last "attic" scene. Hope you guys like them too!

Wow, very interesting!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic! I really, really love these!
ReplyDeleteI've only been following for a short while and have to say I love the Featured Artist posts. I don't tend to search around for art very often. I'm a crafter and large doses of true artistic talent intimidates me, I think. There's a fine line between inspirational and oppression for me.
ReplyDeleteI loved the college grad, the sitting writer, the fireman and the military kid in the bathroom because there was a sense that they'd been in those same places when they were younger. As if the photo was taken in the same place over the span of a few decades.
Thanks for sharing!
These are really amazing. I wonder if the older people in the picture actually had those careers...truly wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThese are so poignant and touching. I've been scrolling up and down, looking at them again and again. I keep forgetting I'm growing older, I still feel so young inside. I wonder if I will be seeing reflections like these in the years to come.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThose are so neat. I almost go choked up. Thank you for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely incredible pictures! I've never seen anything like them before.
