Sorry my photos of the finished product aren't very good. Our apartment is dingy. Someday I'll live somewhere more "photographable".
TISSUE SNOW TUTORIAL
Ingredients:::
Tissue paper {I used only white, but some blues might look really nice too}
Scissors
Tape
1. Fold your tissue in half a couple times so that it's easier to manage while cutting.
2. Cut the tissue into strips about an inch wide. They don't have to be exact. Eyeballing is fine.
3. Every thumbs length or so give the tissue several twists. Remember to be gentle or it'll start to rip.
Here's the way I found easiest to do this step: Hold the end of the tissue strip between your thumb and
forefinger, with the end about at your first thumb knuckle (this leaves space at one end for hanging later).
Twist it several, 2 or 3, times with your other hand. Then slide the tissue between your fingers so your thumb is now placed just after the first twist. Twist again at the end of your thumb and keep moving forward this way each twist is about the same length apart.
4. Keep twisting for the whole length of your 1" strip. Repeat with as many strips as you'd like for hanging.
5. Use small pieces of clear tape to hang your tissue snow in your chosen location, and your done!
See? What did I say, easy peasy right!? Now go hang some in your doorways before your guests arrive.
