Hello Friends!

Welcome to my first ever gift exchange! I've been wanting to host one of these for quite some time and with fall right around the corner I thought, why not scarves?

I'm so excited about this I hope I don't leave out any details. If I do, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Partners::: Each participant will be paired with one other person.

Cost::: It's free to participate but the scarf you send to your partner must have a minimum value of $20.
     - If you make or sell scarves and would like to send one of your own products to your partner that is fine AS LONG AS your product fits your partner's interests {more info about that below}.

Shipping::: This gift exchange is open to international participants. I understand that some of you will be interested in items from other countries and some of you would prefer not to pay that much extra for shipping. Please be sure to specify in your comment below if you are willing to be paired with a person from a different country or not.

Schedule::: Sign-ups open today Monday, August 13th. Sign-ups will close Thursday, August 23rd. Partners will be announced Friday, August 24th. Packages must be shipped no later than Thursday, August 30th.

Share + Admire::: If you'd like to share photos of the scarf/package you are sending or receiving feel free to post them to this flickr group.

Getting what you want::: The questionnaire includes a section for you to fill out to help your partner pick out a scarf that is sure to be something you'll like. So answer the questions thoroughly!

The sign-up::: If you wish to participate in this gift exchange please fill out the questionnaire below. Please copy and paste the questions into a comment at the end this post. Submitting the questionnaire is your commitment to follow the guidelines as they have been explained above.

Country in which you live: Canada, give me anyone anywhere

Your interests: I like fun silly stuff, lots of Japanese fabrics and silly prints. My 'usual' scarf is a knitted multicoloured yarn thing I made years ago when my grandmother taught me to knit and I made that one thing. I also have a crocheted scarf. I'm in love with greens lately.
I am trying to accessorize more this year so a non outdoor scarf is cool too.

5 words to describe you or your style: I'm fun and silly, I currently have purple hair even though I'm 30 something. I like to wear t-shirts will silly sayings or references to movies and see who laughs when I'm out in the world, then I know who the cool people are.

Your interests: I absolutely love scarves. I wear them all year! I prefer large full scarves in lighter weight fabric. I don't like wool or fuzzy though because of my long curly hair, they pull my curls apart and make my hair all frizzy. I love bright and colorful, lots of pattern and tassels!! but not too big into lace. Not really a girly girl at all actually... I usually wear scarves as a statement piece, simple clothes with a fabulous scarf! Typically love almost any scarf coming from Urban Outfitters.

♥ fabric scarves, with rayon being my all-favourite fabric for its cool-against-the-skin feel.
♥ long scarves that can wrap many times, and if it's a light fabric then a very wide, long scarf which can double as bathing-suit cover-up when away from home! -

Country in which you live: United States; I am completely fine with domestic or international!

Your interests: I love scarves! It gets cold here. I like a light weight
    - med weight scarf. Too heavy is rough on my neck. I'm not fond of
anything scratchy or fuzzy as I have sensitive skin and the static
created from wooly scarves during the winter is crazy here! So
definitely something very soft to the skin. I'm open to colors as long
as it isn't anything neon or purple. My favorite colors are mossy greens
and any blues. I'm very fair skinned if that helps. I love long scarves
but it's not a must. I love solids, fun prints like birds or even
vintage florals. Nothing too pre-teenish please.
