Ok, now you have a basic idea of what they are. In my book tintypes are one of the coolest things about photography ever. I only got to help make one in my undergraduate studies - they are extremely temperamental, expensive, and difficult to make you see. But if I ever got the chance to make or have another I wouldn't pass it up.
