Ok, now you have a basic idea of what they are. In my book tintypes are one of the coolest things about photography ever. I only got to help make one in my undergraduate studies - they are extremely temperamental, expensive, and difficult to make you see. But if I ever got the chance to make or have another I wouldn't pass it up.
These tintypes are done by San Fransisco based artist Michael Shindler. You can read more about what Michael has to say about his work HERE. What do you guys think? Pretty amazing huh?
